Inspired by Existence

Fashion has consistently fascinated me since the beginning. Through every childhood hobby or phase, fashion played a role. Whether it was skateboarding or having to wear a school uniform, I’d find a way to standout and express myself. What began as an interest turned into a hobby. In middle school I began buying and reselling clothes I desired in effort to create the style I struggled to afford. I always seemed to be ahead of my time, whether it was with underground music, designers, or subculture. I’ve been around to witness these artists thrive and expand. Throughout the years my own style has evolved and matured. From skateboarding in my single pair of ripped shoes to walking in Saint Laurent boots. I’ve come a long way. My favorite designers include Rick Owens, Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, Junya Watanabe and the list goes on. Nowadays I spend my time buying and selling clothes, designing clothes, pattern cutting, sewing, educating myself and refining my style. A lot of time is spent isolated, dedicating my free time to work on myself and my vision. All in effort to create the life I want for myself. The world of fashion is where I belong.

What motivates you?

I find myself constantly inspired and motivated by powerful women. That would include Kim Gordon, Debby Harry, Vivienne Westwood, Zoe Kravitz, Princess Nokia, FKA Twigs, and many more. Women with a voice who have overcame their struggles. Turning their misfortune into something beautiful is just so attractive to me. Being a leader when no when else will. Pain motivates me the most. Life has molded me into an artist, using design and fashion to express my hardships and most honest feelings. My favorite quote from Kurt Cobain “Thank you for the tragedy, I need it for my art” is the perfect way to describe my attitude. I love rooting for the underdog, often seeing myself as one.
